DARK TROOPER
Lead Character Modeling | Hot Wheels Racerverse
The Dark Trooper was one of the characters I personally modeled for Hot Wheels Racerverse while serving as Lead Character Modeler at Insert Coin Animation.
My primary responsibility was leading the character modeling team, ensuring modeling quality, consistency across the project, and delivering production-ready assets. In addition to supervising the team, I was responsible for modeling this character from the approved production concept, adapting the iconic Star Wars design to the stylized visual language of the Hot Wheels Racerverse universe.
The production asset was created with animation in mind, emphasizing clean topology, efficient geometry, deformation-friendly construction, and a faithful translation of the original design while preserving the proportions and appeal required by the series.
For the production, my contribution was exclusively the character modeling and leadership of the character modeling team.
The lighting, look development, rendering, presentation, and portfolio breakdowns shown in this ArtStation project were created later as a personal presentation to showcase the modeling work with a more cinematic approach.
